Christopher Nolan has been behind some of the biggest (and most confusing) films of all time.
Mostly known for his mind-bending plots, the release of a Chris Nolan film is a major event in any film buff’s calendar, with the director having earned cult-like status amongst his legions of fans.
So it’s no surprise that the director of blockbusters such as Inception and Interstellar is keeping his cards close to his chest – meanwhile, his next big film is caked in speculation and hearsay.
So far not much known about the next Christopher Nolan film other than big parts of it will be filmed in the UK and India and that it is dubbed to be a cross between North By Northwest meets Inception.
Here at Kozzii we always have our eye out for who will be in charge of the costume department on the next big thing. So we are pleased to have learned that for Nolan’s yet unnamed project costume designer Jeffrey Kurland has been added to the list of people involved.
Jeffrey has previously worked with Nolan on Dunkirk and Inception. He is also known for his costume design on Steven Soderbergh’s Erin Brockovich and Ocean’s Eleven, Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout, and Michael Mann’s Collateral.
So what does the appointment of Jeffrey Kurland tell us about the tone of the upcoming film? Well, with a diverse range of credits such as Ghostbusters, Erin Brockovich, Law Abiding Citizen and The Dictator it is currently too early to deduce any specifics for the next Nolan film.
We’re looking forward to hearing what the next big Christopher Nolan project will be and our anticipation has certainly been titillated by the appointment of Jeffrey as the costume designer.
Filming is said to kick-off this summer and Warner Bros. has set the film’s release date for July 17th, 2020.
