Ever wondered how the stunning and superbly creative costumes seen taking flight in shows like Cirque du Soleil’s Ovo are taken care of?
Well, look no further as the Head of Wardrobe and the Wardrobe Assistants on the spectacle give us a little insight into what goes on behind the insect wings.
From storing antenna-adorned hat pieces and painting shoes to touring 1000 individual pieces – the video from the team gives us a snapshot into life-on-the-road with the carnivalesque extravaganza.
The show already made an appearance in London earlier this year to buzzing reviews, with The Telegraph describing it as an ‘insect extravaganza’ and the stage being ‘alive with grasshoppers, dragon-flies, butterflies and more besides.’
If you missed it the first time around then fret not, it’s back in the UK, touring around major cities and stadiums until October, when it flies off again buzzing around Europe.
And it looks like it’s set to impress when it hits British shores once again if the glittering array of insect costumes and jaw-dropping stunts is anything to go by.
